THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY 100 GALLON AND 40 GALLON EXTENDED RANGE FUEL TANKS, AND ASSOCIATED VALVES AND PLUMBING FOR FERRY OPERATIONS. A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS INSTALLED IN THE CABIN. IT CONSISTS OF TWO WELDED ALUMINUM TANKS. A 45 GALLON TANK SECURED AT STATION 37.25 AND A 125 GALLON TANK SECURED AT STATION 68.25, EACH TANK IS SECURED WITH TWO 1000 LB CARGO STRAPS ATTACHED TO SEAT RAIL CARGO RESTRAINTS. THE TANKS ARE EQUIPPED WITH 1/2 INCH FUEL FEED FITTINGS. BRAIDLOCK FUEL LINE (OR EQUIVALENT) IS USED THROUGHOUT THE FERRY SYSTEM. FUEL FROM EACH TANK IS FED THROUGH INDIVIDUAL SHUT-OFF VALVES TO A DUAL PUMP TDL PUMP PACK. A LINE FROM THE PUMP PACK IS PASSED THROUGH A SHUT OFF VALVE, THE RIGHT CABIN AIR OUTLET AND THE RAM AIR INLET TO THE R TANK FUEL DRAIN. THE SYSTEM FEEDS DIRECTLY TO THE RIGHT TANK AND REFILLS THE TANK. INSTALLED OF THE SYSTEM REQUIRES OPERATION OF THE AIRCRAFT OM ACCORDANCE WITH A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT AND OPERATONS LIMITATIONS. THIS FORM AND THE SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT MUST BE CARRIED ON THE AIRCRAFT AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS INSTALLED. A TEMPORARY WEIGHT AND BALANCE MUST BE COMPLETED.A LOGBOOK ENTRY MUST BE MADE FOLLOWING THE FERRY SYSTEM INSTALLATION. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE DESTINATION THE FERRYSYSTEM SHALL BE REMOVED, THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO NORMAL CONFIGURATION AND THE FURTHER LOGBOOK ENTRY COMPLETED. PRE FLIGHT ALL FERRY SYSTEM VALVES. FERRY SYSTEM TO BE USED IN CRUISE FLIGTH ONLY. USE NORMAL AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM FOR TAKEOFF AND CLIMB. ESTABLISHED IN CRUISE SELECT THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SELECTOR TO R TANK FUEL QUANTITY.
