THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY EXTENDED RANGE FUEL SYSTEM, CONSIST ING OF TWO ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS. SYSTEM IS THE SAME AS PREVIOUSLYINSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAA FORM 337 DATED 10/24/2017 WITH MINOR MODIFICATION IN THE TANK QUANTITIES. THE SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO EXTEND THE RANGE FOR A FLIGHT FROM HAWAII TO NEVADA. THE SYSTEMS SHALL BE REMOVED UPON ARRIVAL AT THE DESTINATION OR EXPIRATION OF THE SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT AND THE AIRCRAFT RETURNED TO NORMAL CONFIGURATION, PRIORTO RETURNING THE AIRCRAFT TO SERVICE. SYSTEM CONSISTS OF TWO ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS, A FUEL SELECTOR VALVE MANIFOLD AND ASSOCIATED FERRY FUEL FEED LINES FITTINGS AND VENT SYSTEM. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS CONNECTED TO A TEE FITTING MAIN FUEL LINE, BETWEEN THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SELECTOR VLAVE AND THE AIRCRAFT ELECTRIC BOOST PUMP. THIS IS A DIRECT FEED SYSTEM. THERE IS A VENT FITTING INSTALLED IN THE LOWER FUSELAGE TO ALLOW POSITIVE VENT PRESSURE TO THE TWO FERRY FUEL TANKS. THE TWO FERRY FUEL TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON PALLETS ACROSS THE SEAT RAILS AND SECURED USING CARGO SYSTEMS INC. CESSNA SEAT RAIL TYPE CARGO RINGS, AND (6) 700 POUND CARGO STRAPS. THE TANKS ARE BONDED TO THE FUSELAGE FOR GROUNDING. THIS SYSTME ALLOWS NORMAL OPERATION OF THE AIRCRAFT FUEL FEED SYSTEM TO THE ENGINE, WITH EITHER THE AIRCRAFT MAIN TANKS ORTHE FERRY FUEL TANKS. OTHER MODIFICATIONS TO THE AIRCRAFT TO ACCOMMO DATE THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM ARE THE REMOVAL OF THE COPILOTS SEAT AND SEATS 3 AND 4 TO ACCOMMODATE THE FERRY FUEL TANKS.
