THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY EXTENDED RANGE FUEL CONSISTING OF THREE ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS, (2) ENGINE FUEL SUPPLY VALVES, (3)FERRY FUEL TANK SUPPLY VALVES AND A FUEL DUMP VALVE, ASSOCIATED FERRY FUEL LINES AND FITTINGS, TIEDOWNS AND A PRESSURE VENT SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO EXTEND THE RANGE FOR A FLIGHT FROM NAGOYA, JAPANTO MERCED, CALIFORNIA. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION WILL CONSIST OF REMOVING THE AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEATS, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT, AS REQUIRED, FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND INSTALLING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTEDTO THE AIRCRAFT MAIN FUEL SYSTEM. THE FERRY FUEL TANK SYSTEM CONSISTS THREE FERRY FUEL TANKS FOR A TOTAL CAPACITY OF 235 GALLONS. TWO 110 GALLON TANKS ARE MOUNTED IN THE CABIN AND ONE 25 GALLON TANK IN MOUNTED IN THE NOSE BAGGAGE COMPARTMENT. TANK NUMBER 1 AND 2, 110 GALLONS EACH, RIGHT/LEFT HAND SIDES AT STATION 195. TANKS NUMBER 3, 25GALLON NOSE BAGGAGE AT STATION 25. TANKS WERE AS REMOVED AND PREVIOUSLY APPROVED FOR BARON N5049Q TH-2364. THE TANKS WERE MANUFACTURED BY ROYAL INDUSTRIES, SHINGLE SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA. SEE ATTACHED TEMPORARY WEIGHT AND BALANCE SHEET. NOTE: NO CHANGES TO THE AIRCRAFT EQUIPMENT LIST OR WEIGHT AND BALANCE ARE MADE FOR THIS TEMPORARY INSTALLATION. THE TEMPORARY WEIGHT AND BALANCE SHALL BE USEDWHILE THE FERRY SYSTEMS ARE INSTALLED. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS SERVICED DIRECTLY FROM FILLER OPENINGS ON THE TOP OF ALL THREE TANKS. THE NOSE TANK SHOULD FUELED PRIOR TO FILLING THE REAR TANKS. SELECT BOTH AIRCRAFT FUEL SELECTORS TO CROSS FEED, OPEM FERRY FUEL SUPPLY
The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid. This applies to all foreign Civil Aviation Authorities or anyone else with a verification need.
