TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM INSTALLED IN THE CABIN OF THE ACFT FOR THE PURPOSE OF ONE TIME DELIVERY FLIGHT FROM HONOLULU TO LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. CABIN SEATS 3,4,5,6 WERE REMOVED. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PIPER PA32 SERIES AMM AND PILOT INFORMATION MANUAL. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A SINGLE 180 GALLON FERRY FUEL TANK, INSTALLED AT CENTER POSITION OF 120 INCHES AFT DATUM. THE FERRY FUEL TANK IS MANUFACTURED BY ROYAL INDUSTRIES OF PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA AND IS RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN, INTERNALLY BAFFLED AND CONSTRUCTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH ABYC H-24.18 (2.1-2.12) AND 46 CFR SEC 58.50(A) 4-8, FROM 5052 ALUMINUM 0.100 INCHES THICK, IN ACCORDANCE WITH ABYC H-2431831 TANK MATERIALS AND WELDED IN ACCORDANCE WITH AWS-A5.10 METHODS, AND PRESSURE TESTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH FAR 23.965A (1) TO 3.5 PSI. THE FERRY FUEL TANK IS GROUNDED TO THE ACFT STRUCTURE. THE FERRY FUEL TANK IS MOUNTED ON A 1/2 INC PLYWOOD SECURED TO THE CENTER PASSENGER SEAT PLATFORM AND BLOCKED BY THE FORWARD SPAR CARRY THROUGH, SUPPORT BLOCKED TO THE REAR FLOOR AREA AND FURTHER BLOCKED BY REAR CAPS STRIPS SCREWED TO THE PLYWOOD PALLET.THIS PLATFORM DECREASES OVERALL FLOOR LOADING WITH INCREASED PALLET AERA. THE TANK IS THEN SECURED TO THE PLYWOOD PALLET USING 4 2000 LB ADJUSTABEL CARGO TIE DOWN STRAPS SECURED TO THE FORE AND AFT SEAT RAILS USING CARGO SYSTEMS INC. TSO'D PIPER CARGO TIE DOWN RINGS. THE TANKS IS ALSO BLOCKED BY THE FORWARD SPAR CARRY THROUGH ADDING ADDITIONAL FORWWARD SPAR CARRY THROUGH ADDING ADDITIONAL FORWARD RESTRAINT. THE MAIN ACFT FUEL LINE BETWEEN THE ACFT FUEL SELECTOR AND THE ACFT BOOST PUMP IS REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH A MANUFACTURED FUEL LINE AND TEE FITTING.THE FUEL LINE IS MANUFACTURED USING MIL SPEC H-6000-8 FUEL LINE AND AE |
