A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL AND OIL SYSTEM HAS BEEN INSTALLED IN THE AIRCRAFT. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF TWO ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS MOUNTED IN THE CABIN. ONE 45 GALLON TANK AT STATION 87 AND ONE 75 GALLON TANK AT STATION 124. THE TOTAL CABIN FUEL CAPACITY IS 120 GALLONS. THE RIGHT HAND COPILOTS SEAT IS REMOVED, IAWTHE PROCEDURES IN THE DIAMOND DA40 MAINTENANCE MANUAL. THE REAR SEATSARE FOLDED TO THE CARGO CONFIGURATION. PLYWOOD PALLETS ARE FITTED ACROSS THE REAR CARGO AREA AND SUPPORTED BY TRUSS STRUCTURE TO THE CABIN FLOOR AREA. THE COPILOTS YOKE IS DISCONNECTED AND SECURED WITH THE AUTOPILOT AND PUSH TO TALK WIRING HARNESS IN TACK. THE COPILOTS CONTROL LINKAGE IS SHROUDED IN AN ALUMINUM HOUSING CLAMPED TO THE ELEVATOR CONTROL ARM TO ALLOW FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT WITHOUT OBSTRUCTION.THE AILERON CONTROL LINKAGE RIDES FREELY IN THE ALUMINUM TUBE. THE 2 TANKS WERE MANUFACTURED BY ROYOL INDUSTRIES OF SHINGLE SPRINGS, CA. THE TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTED IAW ABYC H-24.18 (2-12) AND 46 CFR SEC 58.50(A) (4-6) FROM 5052 ALUMINUM. .100 IN THICK IAW ABYC H-24.18.1 TANK MATERIALS. THE TANKS ARE DESIGNED AND WELDED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 23.963(A). THE TANKS ARE GROUNDED TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, PRESSURE CHECKED IAW FAR 23.963(A)THE TANKS ARE VENTED TO POSITIVE RAM AIR PRESSURE THROUGH A VENT SYS. FROM A SINGLE VENT FITTING IN THE BOTTOM OF THE FUSELAGE. THE TWO CABIN TANKS FEED THROUGH 3/8 INCH FUEL LINES TO A SINGLE THREE WAY SELECTOR VALVE. THE FUEL IS THEN FED TO THE FUEL SUPPLY LINE. THE AIRCRAFT FUEL LINE BETWEEN THE FUEL SELECTOR AND THE FUEL STRAINER IS FITTED WITH A T-FITTING ALLOWING THE FERRY FUEL FEED LINE TO FEED
The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid. This applies to all foreign Civil Aviation Authorities or anyone else with a verification need.
