INSTALLATION OF 560F AUX. FUEL SYSTEM IN 500S. REFERENCE ILLUSTRATION1258-1. REMOVE 500S FUEL VAPOR BOX IN BAGGAGE AREA TO GAIN ACCESS TO MAIN FUEL SUMP. REMOVE SHUTOFF VALVES, SUMP AND BOOST PUMPS. BOOST PUMPS WILL NOT BE REUSED. SHUTOFF VALVES WILL BE SAVED FOR REINSTALL.REMOVE ALL ACCESS PANELS IN WINGS AND NACELLES, AS NEEDED FOR ACCESS. INSTALL 560F MAIN FUEL SUMP USING NEW GASKETS. LOCATE AND CUT OPENINGS TOP OF BOTH WINGS BETWEEN WING STATIONS 98.0 AND 127.0 FOR FUEL WING BAY ACCESS. INSTALL DOUBLERS FROM 560F WINGS FOR ACCESS PANELS. INSTALL FUEL TANK HANGERS. INSTALL HANGERS ON STRINGERS ACCORDING TO LOCATION OF HANGERS ON TANKS FOR LACING PURPOSES. HOLES FOR INTERCONNECTS AND VENT LINES EXIST IN 500S STRUCTURE FROM THE FACTORY IN APPROPRIATE AREAS. INSTALL GROMMETS IN EXISTING FUEL INTERCONNECT AND VENT HOLES IN STRUCTURE AS NEEDED TO PROTECT LINES. LOCATE AND INSTALL SUMP PLATES REMOVED FROM 560F WING AND DRAIN VALVE ASSEMBLIES. MARK AND DRILL HOLES FOR SNAPS AS NEEDED FOR SECURING TANKS. INSTALL FOAM PIECES FROM 560F WING FOR BOTTOM OF FUEL BAYS TO FILL VOID BETWEEN LOWER WING STRINGERS. TAPE INTERNAL STRUCTURE OF WING FUEL BAYS FOR PROTECTION AS NEEDED. INSTALL FUEL CELLS IN APPROPRIATE BAYS. LACE UP TANKS AS REQUIRED, USING APPROPRIATE LACINGCORD. FABRICATE AND INSTALL VENT LINES FOR AUX TANKS TO EXISTING 'T' CONNECTION IN 500S VENT SYSTEM. USE EXISTING HOLES IN RIBS. INSTALL GROMMETS AS NEEDED TO PROTECT VENT LINES AND RIBS. FRONT TANKS REQUIRESCALLOPED VENT TUBE FROM 560F INSTALLATION. INSTALL TANK INTERCONNECTBETWEEN FORWARD AND AFT TANKS. INSTALL TWO FUEL SHUTOFF VALVES, REMOVED FROM 500S SUMP FOR MAIN TANKS AND ADDITIONAL SHUTOFF VALVES, |
