TEMPORARY FUEL SYSTEM HAS BEEN INSTALLED CONSISITING OF FOUR (4) ALUMINUM FERRY TANKS. FUEL VALVE MANIFOLD, TWO (2) 24 VOLT ELECTRONIC TRANSFER PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED FUEL LINES IN ACCORDANCE WITH ENCLOSED DRAWINGS LABELED "CARAVAN FERRRY FUEL DRAWING #1". TANKS ARE INSTALLEDIN THE CABIN AERA ON PLATFORMS/BASES MAD OF 2X4'S AND 1/2 INCH PLY WOOD FOR EVEN LOAD DISTRIBUTION. THE FUEL TANKS ARE GROUNDED TO THE AIRFRAME FOR STATIC DISCHARGE. THE FUEL TANKS USED ARE RECTANGULAR, INTERNALLY BAFFLED AND CONSTRUCTED OF WLED 5052 ALUMINUM THAT IS .100 THIK AND SPRESSURE TESTED IAW FAR 23.965A(1). THE FUEL TANKS ARE SECURED HORIZONTALLY, VERTICALLY AND LATERALLY TO THE PASSENGER SEAT TRACKS USING AIRCRAFT TIE DOWN RINGS AND FOUR (4) 3000LB RATED CARGO STRAPS. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS PLUMMED INTO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM BY INSTILLATION OF A "T" FITTING IN THE INTER TANK EQULIZER VENT TUBE ON THE WING ROOT. THIS INSTALLATION DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH THE NORMAL VENTING OF THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO THE OUSTSIDE AIR. ALLFITTINGS ARE SIZE 8 OR LARGER AND HOSES ARE 1/2" ID AND FUEL TOLERANT HOSES USED THROUGHOUT. FERRY FUEL VALVE MANIFOLD AND TSO'S AIRBOURNE ELECTRONIC FUEL PUMPS ARE LOCATED IN BETWEEN THE PILOTS SEATS. EACH FULE PUMP IS CAPIABLE OF DELIVERING ENOUGH FUEL FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT. POWER FOR TH FUEL PUMPS IS TAKEN FROM THE AIRCRAFT MAIN BATTERY BUS AND PROTECTED BY A SEPERATE 10AMP CIRCUIT BREAKERS ALL OF WHICH ARE ACCESSABLE TO THE PILOT DURING FLIGHT. ELECTRICAL WIRING INSTALLATION IS DONE IAW AC-43-13-1B. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS VENTED TO THE EXTERIOR OF THE AIRCRAFT THROUGH A TEMPORARY VENT PROTRUDING BENEATH THE RIGHT WING ROOT PANEL. THE VENT ALSO SUPPLIES
The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid. This applies to all foreign Civil Aviation Authorities or anyone else with a verification need.
