THE TANKSARE SECURED FOR AND AFT AND VERTICALLY TO THE PASSENGERS INBOARD MIDDLE AND OUTBOARD SEAT TRACKS USING AIRCRAFT TIE-DOWN RINGS AND (4) FOUR 3000# LB RATING CARGO STRAPS MEETING OR EXCEEDING FAA TSO C22. THE TANKS ARE SUPPORTED LATERALLY BY AIRCRAFT SIDE STRUCTURE AND ARE PROTECTED USING SOFT VINYL PADDING. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS PLUMBED INTO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM BY INSTALLATION OF A "T" IN THE INTER- TANK EQUALIZER VENT TUBE IN THE RIGHT WING ROOT. THIS INSTALLATION DOES NOT HAMPER VENTING OF THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM. ALL FEED FITTINGSAND HOSES ARE 1/2" AND FUEL TOLERANT HOSE IS USED THROUGHOUT FERRY FUEL MANIFOLD AND TSO'D AIRBORNE ELECTRONIC PUMPS ARE MOUNTED BESIDE THE PILOT SEAT. EACH PUMP IS CAPABLE OF DELIVERING ENOUGH FUEL FOR CONTINUED FLIGHT. POWER FOR THE FUEL PUMPS IS TAKEN FROM THE AIRCRAFT MAIN BATTERY BUS AND PROTECTED BY TEMPORARY MAIN 30 AMP FUSE AND SEPERATE 5 AMP CIRCUT BREAKERS. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION AND WILL CONSIST OF RMOVING THE REQUIRES AIRCRAFT SEAT, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT FROM THEPASSENGER COMPARTMENT AN INSTALLING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT THROUGH A DUAL MALLORY HIGH CAPACITY DIESEL ELECTRIC PUMP SYSTEM TO THE LEFT MAIN FUEL TANK. THE FUEL PUMPS ASLO HAVE THIER OWN 12 VOLT BATTERY BACKUP POWER. THE FERRY FUEL TANK IS A 529 GALLON TURTLE-PAC FERRY FUEL BLADDER, RESTRICTED AS REQUIRED BY WEIGHT AND BALANCE TO 480 GALLONS. NOTE: FOR SERVICEABLE TANKS SEE SPECIAL INSPECTION SECTION 9.0 INSTRUCTIONS. THE TANK IS A THICK WALL TURTLE PAC TANK, MANUFACTURED IN AUSTRALIA FOR FERRY FUEL SYSTEM INSTALLATIONSEE TURTLE-PAC WEBSITE FOR DOCUMENTATION AND SPECIFICATIONS. THE TANK IS MOUNTED ON A PLYWOOD PALLET AND GROUNDED TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE.THE TEMPORARY WEIGHT AND BALANCE WILL SPECIFY AIRCRAFT ITEMS TO BE REMOVED AND THE LOCATION OF THE FUEL TAK AND SPECIFIC QUANTITIES FOR SERVICING. THE TANK SHALL BE SECURED IN THE CABIN IN ACCORDANCE WITH ATTACHED DRAWINGS AND DATA FROM THE CESSNA 208 OPERATING MANUAL, WEIGHT AND BALANCE LOADING SECTION. THE FUEL TANK IS PLACARDED WITH QUANTITIES AND SYSTEM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. THE FUEL PUMPS ARE POWERED THROUGH THE SECONDARY AVIONICS LOWER BUS BAR AND A 24/12 VOLT POWER CONVERTER AND PROTECTED BY TWO 20 AMP FUSES ON BOTH SIDES OF THEPOWER CONVERTER. THE PUMPS ARE FREE-FLOW THROUGH PUMPS AND HAVE CHECK VALVE AUTHORITY IN ONE DIRECTION. THERE IS A FERRY TANK SELECTOR VALVEAND A FERRY SYSTEM SUPPLY VALVE USED TO CONTROL THE FERRY SYSTEM. THIS IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION THAT REQUIRES A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT
The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid.
