REMOVED FLOOR CAPET & SEATS IN POSTIONS 3 & 4 FROM AIRCRAFT TO MAKE ROOM FOR TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM INSTALLATION. INSTALLED TEMPORARYFERRY FUEL SYSTEM RESTING ON 3/8" THICK PLYWOOD BASE SUPPORTING ON EXISTING AIRCRAFT STUCTURE. PLYWOOD BASE IS INSTALLED TO FACILITATE EVEN LOAD DISTRIBUTION AND AIRCRAFT FLOOR LOADING LIMITS ARE NOT EXCEEDED. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM CONSISTS OF A TURTLEPAC FERRY TANK WITH CAPACITY OF 300 U.S. GALLONS, TWO 24 VDC FACET ELECTRIC PUMPS (P/N: 40164), SHUT-OFF VALVES, FUEL HOSES (SAE 100R6), HOSE FITTINGS AND HOSE CLAMPS. THE FERRY FUEL TANK MAY BE FILLED UP TO 300 U.S. GALLONS AND IS LOCATED IN THE AIRCRAFT CABIN BEHIND THE PILOTS SEATS. TANKS IS PRESSURE AND LEAK TESTED IN ACCORDANCE FAR 23.965(A)(1) AT POINT OF MANUFACTURE. THE FERRY TANK IS SECURED TO SEATS/TRACKS WITH CARGO TIE DOWN STAPS, TIE DOWN STRAPS ARE RATED 2,100 LBS EACH. FERRY FUEL TANK IS ELECTICALLY BONDED TO THE AIRFRAME TO FACILITATE STATIC ELECTRICITY DISCHARGE AS OUTLINED IN AC 43.13-1B. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS PLUMBED INTO LH AND RH MAIN FUEL TANKS AT THE FUEL RETURN LINES UTILIZING AN824 (TEE FITTINGS) AND THRU FUEL HOSES, MANUALLY CONTROLLED ELECTRIC FUEL PUMPS AND/OR MANUAL FUEL PUMP AND SELECTOR VALVES. FERRY FUEL PUMP, FUEL SELECTOR VALVE AND FUEL PUMP OPERATING SWITCH ARE LOCATED ON FLOOR BETWEEN THE PILOT AND CO-PILOT SEATS. THE TRANSFER OF THE FUEL FROM THE FERRY TANK TO LH AND RH MAIN TANKS IS TOBE UNDERTAKEN DURING NORMAL LEVEL CRUISE FLIGHT ONLY. SCHEMATIC OF THEFERRY SYSTEM IS ON ATTACHMENTS 1 & 2. REMOVED ELT ANTENNA TO MAKE ROOMFOR THE INSTALLATION OF LONG-WIRE HF ANTENNA. WEIGHT AND BALANCE IS CALCULATED AND ENTERED INTO THE AIRCRAFT RECORD. TEMPORARY FUEL SYSTEM
The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid. This applies to all foreign Civil Aviation Authorities or anyone else with a verification need.
