TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN/CONSTRUCTED IAW ABYC H-24.18(2-12)AND 46 CFR SEC. 58.50(A)(4-6) FROM 5052 ALUMINUM .100" THICK IAW ABYC H-24 18.1 TANK MATERIALS. TANKS ARE DESIGNED/WELDED TO MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 23.963(A). TANKS ARE GROUNDED TO ACFT STRUCTURE. PRESSURE/LEAK CHECKED IAW FAR 23.965(A)(1). THE TANKS ARE VENTED TO POSITIVE RAM PRESSURE THROUGH A VENT SYSTEM FROM A SINGLE VENT FITTINGMOUNTED IN THE LOWER SIDE OF FUSELAGE ON THE AFT LOWER FUSELAGE PANEL.FERRY FUEL TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON A 3/8" PLYWOOD FLOOR PALLET/SECURED BYFOUR 5000 LB. CARGO STRAPS RUNNING FORE AND AFT OVER THE TOP OF THE TANKS TO BROWNLINE FLOOR CARGO RINGS IN EXISTING BROWNLINE CARO/SEAT RAILS. AN ADDITIONAL 5000 LB. STRAP RUNS LATERALLY AROUND THE TANKS TO REAR CARGO RINGS MOUNTED AFT TO TANKS. THIS PROVIDES ADDITIONAL FORWARD/LATERAL RESTRAINT. TIE DOWNS CONFORM WITH PROCEDURES IN THE CESSNA CARAVAN OPERATING MANUAL FOR CARGO TIE DOWN INSTRUCTIONS, AND FAR 23.787 AND FAR 23.561(B)(3) REQUIRING ADEQUATE RESTRAING OF EQUIP.INSTALLED IN PASSENGER AREA OF AIRCRAFT. TANKS ARE FURTHER BLOCKED DIRECTLY AGAINST THE FORWARD CARGO RESTRAINT STRUCTURE. EACH FERRY FUEL TANK HAS 1/2" FUEL FEED FITTINGS. The duration of aircraft registration certificates has been extended up to 7 years. The Registry will be issuing revised certificates in batches based on the former expiration date. For verification purposes, even though the expiration date on the registration certificate may not match the expiration date in the FAA Aircraft Registration database, any registration certificate displaying an expiration date of January 31, 2023 or later is still valid. This applies to all foreign Civil Aviation Authorities or anyone else with a verification need.
