| INSTALLED AND ADDITIONAL FUEL TANK IN THE CABIN FOR A FERRY FLIGHT TO CAMEROON, AFRICA. THE TANKS WAS FABRICATED OUT OF 6061T6.090 ALUMINUM, WELDED AT THE SEAMS AND BAFFLED INSIDE. THE TANK WAS TESTED TO 3.5 PSI IN ACCORDANCE WITH CFR 23.965. THE TANK MEASURES 34" WIDE, 36" DEEP AND 34" HIGH AND HOLDS 180 GALLONS. THE INSTALLATION WAS IN ACCORDANCE WITH DER APPROVED 8110-3, REPORT STR-SK110705 DATED 7/26/11AND EA NO. SK110705 DATED 7/5/11. DOCUMENTS AND DRAWINGS ARE ATTACHED.THE TANK IS SECURED USING AIRCRAFT HARDWARE AND CABLES, AND RATED DOUBLE STUD FITTINGS INTO BROWN-LINE TYPE TRACK. THE TANK IS SUPPORTEDBY PLYWOOD BETWEEN THE SEAT TR5ACKS TO GIVE EVEN WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION. THE FLOOR LOADING IS 200 LB/SQ FT AND IS NOT EXCEEDED. THERE IS A DRIPPAN UNDER THE TANK DRAINED OVERBOARD TO THE REAR OF THE PAN. THERE IS A 3" FILLER PORT TOWARD THE FRONT OF THE TANK AND IT IS VENTED WITH 1/2" LINE. THERE IS A SIGHT GAUGE FOR VISUAL QUANTITY REFERENCE AND A LOW FUEL WARNING LIGHT WITCH INDICATES AT 10 GALLONS REMAINING. A 1/2"DUMP VALVE IS INSTALLED AT THE REAR OF THE TANK SHOULD WEIGHT NEED TO BE REDUCED FOR LANDING. IT HAS A BREAK-AWAY WIRE HOLDING IT CLOSED ANDA LEVER SYSTEM ACCESSIBLE BY THE PILOT FOR OPERATION. THERE IS A LOW POINT DRAIN VALVE AT THE REAR OF THE TANK FOR SUMPING THE FUEL TANK. THE FUEL OUTLET IS AT THE FRONT OF THE TANK AND CONTROLLED BY A VALVE FEEDING THE AIRCRAFT THROUGH A TEE FITTING FORWARD OF THE FUEL SELECTOR VALVE. FILTERING IS ACCOMPLISHED USING THE AIRCRAFT FUEL FILTERS. A SECONDARY VALVE IS ATTACHEDF TO THE OUTLET TO ALLOW FUEL TOBE PUMPED INTO THE RH MAIN TANK.
