THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY EXTENDED RANGE FUEL SYSTEM, CON SISTING OF 3 ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS, A FUEL SELECTOR VALVE AND ASSOCIATED FERRY FUEL FEED LINES FITTINGS. THE SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO EXTEND THE RANGE FOR A FLIGHT FROM HONOLULU, HAWAII TO NORTH LAS VEGASNEVADA. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION WILL CONSIST OF REMOVING THE AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEATS, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT AS REQUIRED, FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND INSTALLING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT MAIN BOOST PUMP INLET FITTING. THE FERRY FUEL TANK SYSTEM CONSISTS OF 3 ALUMINUM TANKS. THE TOTAL CAPACITY OF THE FUEL TANKS IS 191 GALLONS. #1-137 GALLONS CENTERED LATERAL STATION 68.0. #2-40 GALLONS CENTERED LATERAL STATION 75.4. #3-14 GALLONS RIGHT REAR SEAT AREA STATION 79.0. THE TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTEDFROM 5052 ALUMINUM .100 INCHES THICK BY ROYALL MANUFACUTRING OF PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA. THE TANKS ARE PRESSURE AND LEAKED CHEKCED AS PER PERTINENT FARS. THE TANKS ARE ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. THE TANKS ARE VENTED TO POSTIVE RAM PRESSURE, THROUGH A VENT SYSTEM. THE TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON 1/2 INCH PLYWOOD PALLETS. TANK 1IS SECURED WITH (3) 1900 POUND CARGO TIE DOWN STRAPS SECURED TO (6) POINTS OF THE CARGO TIE DOWN RINGS, LOCATED IN THE EXISTIN CESSNA FLOOR SEAT RAILS AND THE REAR SEAT BELT ATTACH POINTS AND SEAT ATTACH RAIL CARGO RINGS. THE REAR TANK IS MOUNTED ON A BUILT UP 2X4 AND PLY WOOD PALLET, ADN SECURED BY (2) 25400 POUND CARGO STRAPS SECURED TO THE AFT SEAT FOWARD ATTACH BOLTS AND THE FOWARD SEAT RAIL CARGO RINGS
