| THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY EXTENDED RANGE FUEL CONSISTING OF (3) ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS, MOUNTED IN THE CABIN OF THE AIRCRAFT, ALONG WITH ASSOCIATED FERRY FUEL SUPPLY LINE, SELECTOR VALVES AND VENTSYSTEM. THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM SUPPLIES PRESSURE FEED FERRY FUEL DIRECTLY TO THE LEFT WING MAIN TANK SUM DRAIN. THE SYSTEM REQUIRES NO ELECTRICAL POWER. POSITIVE FUEL PRESSURE TO THE SYSTEM IS BY CABIN PRESSURE. THE SYSTEM IS REQUIRED TO EXTEND THE RANGE FOR A FLIGHT FROMHONOLULU HAWAII TO NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEVADA. DESCRIPTION: THIS MAJOR ALTERATION WILL CONSTIST OF REMOVING THE AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEATS, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT, AS REQUIRED, FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENTAND INSTALLNG A TEMPORARY FERRY FUELSYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPORARYFERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT LEFT MAIN WING TANK FUEL DRAIN. TANK NUMBER AND CAPACITY LOCATION IN INCHES: NUMBER ONE AND TWO, 150 GALLONS 400, FORE AND AFT PLACEMENT LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES. NUMBER THREE, 125 GALLONS 325 LATERAL PLACEMENT. THE TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTED FROM 5052 ALUMINUM .100 INCHES THICK BY ROYALL MANUFACTURING OF PLACERVILLE, CALIFORNIA. THE TANKS ARE PRESSURE AND LEAKED CHECKED AS PER PERTINENT FARS. THE TANKS ARE ELECTRICLLY GROUNDED TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. THE TANKS ARE VENTED BY ONE WAY CHECK VENT VALVES WITH 3.5 NEGATIVE PRESSURE RELIEF. THE CABINPRSSURE WILL PROVIDE POSITIVE FUEL FLOW TO THE LEFT MAIN TANK SUMP DRAIN. THE TANK IS MOUNTE ON 3/4 INCH PLYWOOD PALLET. THE TANK IS SECURED USING 4 2000 POUND STRAPS SECURED TO (8) POINTS OF THE CARGO TIE DOWN RINGS. LOCATED IN THE EXISTING FLOOR SEAT RAILS.
