| THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY EXTENDED RAGNE FUEL CONSISTING OF TWO ALUMINUM FERRY FUEL TANKS, A FUEL SELECTOR VALVE MANIFOLD AND ASSOCIATED FERRY FUEL FEED LINES, FITTINGS AND VENT SYSTEM. A TEMPORARY HAND PUMP OIL REPLENISHING SYSTEM IS ALSO INSTALLED. THESE SYSTEMS ARE REQURIED TO EXTEND THE RANGE OF THE AIRCRAFT, FOR A ONE TIME FERRY FLIGHT FROM KAILUA KONA, HAWAII TO CHINO, CALIFORNIA. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION WILL CONSIST OF REMOVING THE AIRCRAFT PASSENGER SEATSFURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT, AS REQUIRED, FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENTAND INSTALLING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPOR ARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SELECTOR USING THE RIGHT WING TANK FUEL LINE, TWO SELECTOR VALVES AND THEN BACKTO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SLECTOR. THE TANKS ARE SECURED WITH (5) 2500 POUND ADJUSTABLE CARGO STRAPS SECURED TO EXISTING SEAT TRACKS. THE TOTAL CAPACITY OF THE FUEL TANKS IS 180 GALLONS. NUMBER 1, 110 GALLONSLEFT HAND SIDE STATION 120. NUMBER 2, 70 GALLONS RIGHT HAND SIDE STATION 114. THE TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTED FROM 5052 ALUMINUM .100 INCHES THICK BY ROYALL MANUFACTURING OF PLACERVILLECALIFORNIA. THE TANKS ARE PRESSURE AND LEAKED CHECKED AS PER PERTINENTFAR'S. THE TANKS ARE ELECTRICALLY GROUNDED TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. THE TANKS ARE VENTED TO POSITIVE RAM PRESSURE THROUGH A VENT SYSTEM. THE TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON 1/2 INCH PLYWOOD PALLETS. TANKS ONE AND TWO ARE SECURED WITH (2 EACH) 2500 POUND ADJUSTABLE CARGO. STRAPS AND SECURED TO 4 POINT TIE DOWNS ATTACHED TO EXISTING SEAT RAILS.
