THIS AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN FITTED WITH AN EXTENDED RANGE FUEL SYSTEM TO ENABLE OVERSEAS FLIGHTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH TURTLE-PAC INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR TANK MODELS, DRUM-66 AND BIG BUDDY 68LT. THE FUEL TANKS ARE MANUFACTURED BY TURTLE-PAC, AUSTRALIA. THEY ARE CONSTRUCTED OF POLYURETHANE AND POLYESTER BONDED LAYERS WITH AN INTERNAL DOUBLE LAYER FUEL RESISTANT COATING AND AN ABRASION RESISTANT EXTERIOR COATING, ALL SEAMS ARE ELECTRO-FUSE WELDED WITH SEAM STRENGTH EQUAL TOOR GREATER THATN THE FABRIC STRENGTH. ALL TANKS HAVE BEEN PRESSURE TESTED TO 5PSI. TURTLE-PAC TANKS ARE COLLAPSIBLE AND DO NOT REQUIRE ANEXTERNAL VENTILATION MEANS WITH NO VAPOR LEFT IN THE EMPTY TANKS. THE TANKS MEET THE REQUIREMENTS OF FAR 23.965 AND FAR 25.965. THE DRUM-66,66 GALLON TANK, SN 3865 IS LOCATED IN THE CABIN AT F.S.73.00. THE BIG-BUDDY 68LT, 18 GALLON TANK, SN 4006 IS LOCATEDIN THE CABIN AT F.S. 101.50. THE FUEL IS ROUTED FROM THE FERRY TANKS TO THE RH WING WITH A AN T-FITTING THEN TO THE FUEL SELECTOR. EACH TANK HAS A MANUAL SHUT- OFF VALVE AND A 24V FACET ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP WIRED TOA 10A C.B. AN LED ON INDICATOR AND A TOGGLE SWITCH, ALL ACCESSIBLE TO THE PILOT DURING FLIGHT. ATTACHED WITH SEAT AND BAGGAGE HARNESS'S. A PLACARD DETAILING OPERATION OF THE EXTENDED RANGE FUEL SYSTEM IS DISPLAYED IN THE AIRCRAFT. THE GWTO IN FERRY CONFIGURATION DOES NOT EXCEED 125% OF NORMAL GWTO. ATTACHED ARE DRAWINGS SHOWING THE TANKS FUEL ROUTING SCHEMATIC AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS. UPON ARRIVAL AT THE FINAL DESTINATION, THE EXTENDED RANGE FUEL SYSTEM IS TO BE REMOVED AND THE AIRCRAFT CONFIGURED BACK TO NORMAL CONFIGURATION BEFORE FURTHER OPERATION. PERIODIC RE-INSTALLATION FOR OVERSEAS FLIGHT IS ALLOWED FOR

THIS ALTERATION CONSIST OF A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM INSTALLED IN THE AIRCRAFT UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF FAA ORDER 8130-2H, PARAGRAPH 492 (B)(3). "SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMITS" THE INSTALLATION REQUIRES OPERATION IN ACCORDANCE WITH A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT. THIS FORM AND THE SPECAIL FLIGHT PERMIT MUST BE CARRIED ON BOARD THE AICRAFT AT ALL TIMES, WHEN OPERATING AS ALTERED HEREIN. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION OF 100 GALLON TURTLE PAC FERRY FUEL BLADDER, RESTRICTED TO 94 GALLONS, IN THE CABIN AND A DUAL PUMP TRANSFER SYSTEM TO PUMP FERRY FUEL TO THE LEFT MAIN TANK. THIS MAJOR ALTERATION IS A TEMPORARYINSTALLATION AND WILL CONSISTS OF REMOVING THE REQUIRED AIRCRAFT SEATSFURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND INSTALL ING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IN THE CABIN. THE TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THE AIRCRAFT THROUGH A DUAL 24 VOLT FACET FUEL PUMP SYSTEM TO THE LEFT MAIN FUEL TANK. THE FERRY FUEL TANKIS A 100 GALLON TURTLEPAC FERRY FUEL BLADDER, RESTRICTED TO 94 GALLONSTHE TANK IS A THICK WALL TURTLE PAC TANK, MANUFACTURED IN AUSTRALIA FOR FERRY FUEL SYSTEM INSTALLATIONS. THEY ARE CONSTRUCTED OF POLYURE THANE AND POLYESTER BONDED LAYERS WITH AN INTERNAL DOUBLE LAYER FUEL RESISTANT COATING. ALL SEAMS ARE ELECTOR-FUSE WELDED WITH SEAM STRENGTH EQUAL OR GREATER THAN THE FABRIC STRENGTH. THER FERRY TANK HAS BEEN PRESSURE TESTED TO 5 PSI.
