| THIS MAJOR ALTERATION CONSISTS OF A MODIFICATION TO THE AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM TO INCORPORATE A TEMPORARY 100 GALLON AND 40 GALLON EXTENDED RANGE FUEL TANKS, AND ASSOCIATED VALVES AND PLUMBIN FOR FERRY OPERA TIONS. THE 100 GALLON TANK WILL BE LOCATED AT FUSELAGE STATION 171.5 AND THE 40 GALLON TANK WILL BE LOCATED AT STATION 145.0. THE TEMPORARYEXTENDED RANGE FUEL TANKS ARE GROUNDED TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. THE TANKS ARE VENTED TO POSITIVE AIR PRESSURE. THE CABIN FLOOR IS REIN FORCED WITH 1/2 INCH PLYWOOD. THE FUEL TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON 1/2 INCH PLYWOOD, AND SECURED USING RATCHED STRAPS. THE TEMPORARY 100/40 GALLONFERRY TANK FEED THROUGH NO. 8 HOSE, CONNECTED TO LHS FUEL TANK AT THE CDC SUPPLIED FILLER FITTING. INSTALLATION COMPLETED USING TDL AERO ENTERRPRISES, SR2X INSTALLATION DRAWINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS. REMOVAL OF FORWARD TANK PER OPERATION LIMITATIONS COMPLETED IAW TDL AERO ENTER PRISES, SR2X INSTALLATION DRAWINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS. SEE ATTACHED SHEET WITH WEIGHT AND BALANCE DATA. OPEN ALL DOORES PRIOR TO FUELING. FILL AIRCRAFT WING TANKS FIRST PRIOR TO FUELING FERRY TANK. FUEL FERRYTANK BY SPECIFIC METERING OF FUEL TO CAPACITIES PLACARDED ON FERRY TANK. DURING FUELING INSPECT SYSTEM FOR LEAKS, STOP FUELING IF LEAKS ARE DETECTED AND CORRECT ANY DEFECTS. INSTALL FERRY TANK CAP AND ASSURE IT IS TIGHT. AIRCRAFT MUST BE OPERATED PER A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT AND OPERATIONS LIMITATIONS WHILE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM IS INSTALLEDFERRY SYSTEM SHALL BE REMOVED UPON REACHING DESTINATION IN THE OPERATIONS LIMITATIONS. | |||
