TANK IS RECTANGULAR IN DESIGN & CONSTRUCTED IAW ABYC H-24.18 (2-12) AND 46 CFR SEC. 58.50(A) (4-6) FROM 5052 ALUMINUM .100" THICK IAW ABYC-H-24 18.1 TANK MATERIALS. TANK IS DESIGN/WELDED TO MEET REQUIRMENTS OF FAR 23.963(A). TANK IS PRESSURE AND LEAK CHECKED IAW FAR 23.965(A)(1). TEMP. EXTENDED RANGE FUEL TANK IS GROUNDED TO AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. TANK VENTED TO POSITIVE AIR PRESSURE THROUGH A VENT SYSTEM FROM A SINGLE VENT FITTING MOUNTED ON A MODIFIED TEMP. REPLACEMENT INSPECTION PANEL CIRRUS PN 20317-001. LOCATION ON R/H AFT SIDE OF FUSELAGE. SYSTEM INCORPORATES A FUEL JETTISON SYSTEM, CONTROLLED BY A VALVE THE PILOT OPERATES. FUEL IS JETTISONED THROUGH PLUMBING EXITING AIRCRAFT FROM THE MODIFIED TEMP. INSPECTION PANEL CIRRUS P/N 20317-001 LOCATION RE3 ON R/H AFT SIDE OF FUSELAGE. CABIN FLOOR IS REINFORCED WITH 1/2" PLYWOOD. TANK RESTS INA WELDED ALUMINUM TRAY WHICH IS BOLTED TO THE AFT PASSENGER SEAT BELT ATTACH POINTS. TANK IS SECURED IN THE TRY BY USE OF 1/8" AIRCRAFT CABLE AND TURNBUCKLES ATTACHED BY A BRACKET WHICH IS MOUNTED TO THE AIRCRAFT SEAT TRACK ASSEMBLY AND 222 BULKHEAD CROSS MEMBER. TANK IS SECURED TO TRAY BY USE OF 4 SUPER DUTY SMART STRAPS. 2 STRAPS RETAIN TANK TO THE TRAY FORE AND AFT, AND 2 RETAIN TANK INBOARD AND OUTBOARD.TEMP. 100 GAL.
