ACCOMPLISHED WORK IAW JRG09-31-0210, REV 1R DATED 2/10/2009 APPROVED ON FAA FORM 8110-3 DATED 2/10/2009. THE INSTALLATION USES A 529 GALLONRUBBER BLADDER FERRY FUEL TANK MANUFACTURED BY TURTLE-PAC, DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR FERRYING AIRCRAFT. THE TANK IS LOCATED IMMEDIATELY BEHIND THE PILOT SEAT, ON TOP OF 3/8 INCH PLYWOOD BASE AND AN ALUMINUMSECONDARY CONTAINMENT TRAY WITH AN OVERBOARD DRAIN. TANK IS SECURED WITH A TOTAL OF 8 CARGO TIE DOWN STAPS (RATED AT 5,000 LBS EACH) TO MEET FOWARD ITEM OF MASS REQUIREMENTS OF PART 43, AS REQUIRED IN FAR91.203. STRAPS ATTACH TO A TOTAL OF 8 DOUBLE STUD TYPE (RATED AT 8,000 LBS EACH) TIE DOWN RINGS ON THE AIRCRAFT'S EXISTING BROWNLINE SEAT TRACK RAILS. FUEL IS ROUTED FROM THE BLADDER FERRY TANK OUTLET VIA A 1/2 INCH FLEXIBLE FUEL COMPATIBLE TYGON (P/N F-4040-R) TUBING THROUGH A 100 MESH SCREEN FILTER AND THEN CONNECTED TO A FERRY FUEL PUMP BOX. THIS BOX CONTAINS 2 ELECTRIC PUMPS WIRED (PN M22759/16-12) TO THE MAINCIRCUIT BREAKER PANEL ON THE CO-PILOTS SIDE AND PROTECTED WITH A 15 AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER (P/N 7274-2-15). THE FERRY PUMP BOX ALSO HAS A MANUAL BACKUP "WOBBLE" PUMP TO USE IN CAS OF AN ELECTICAL SYSTEM FAILURE. FUEL FROM THE FERRY FUEL PUMP BOX IS THEN ROUTNED THROUGH 2 ISOLATION VLAVES (FOR LEFT & RIGHT WINGS) FLOW THROUGH STRATOFLEX 303-8 FUEL COMPATIBLE HOSES TO-8 ALUMINUM BULKHEAD FITTINGS MOUNTED ONTHE FLOOR PANEL FORWARD OF FS 147.6 (JUST BEHIND PILOT SEATS) ON LEFT AND RIGHT SIDES. FROM THERE, FUEL IS THEN ROUNTED VIA 75" STRATOFLEX 303-8 FLEXIBLE HOSED INTO THE LH AND RH WING ROUTE TO THE WING TANK INTERCONNECT LINE OUTBOARD OF THE NACELLE AND OPERATES AS A WING TANK TOP UP SUPPLY. THE LINE IS CONNECTED TO A -8 ALUMINUM 'TEE' FITTING. |
