| THIS MAJOR ALTERATIN IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION AND WILL CONSIST OF REMOVING THE REQUIRED AIRCRAFT SEATS, FURNISHINGS AND EQUIPMENT FROM THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AND INSTALLING A TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEMIN THE CABIN. TEH TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM WILL BE CONNECTED TO THEAIRCRAFT THROUGH A DUAL MALLORY HIGH CAPACITY DIESEL ELECTRIC PUMP SYSTEM FEEDING TO THE LEFT MAIN FUEL TANK, THE FUEL PUMPS ALSO HAVE THIER OWNE 12 VOLT BATTERY BACKUP POWER. THE FERRY FUEL TANKS ARE TWO 225 GALLLON TANKS AND ONE 175 GALLON TANK, WHICH IS RESTRICTED TO 90 GALLONS. FOR SERVICEABLE TANKS SEE SPECIAL INSPECTION SECTION 9.0 INSTRUCTIONS. THE TANKS ARE MOUNTED ON A PLYWOOD PALLET AND GROUNDED TO THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. THE TEMPORARY WEIGHT AND BALANCE WILL SPECIFY AIRCRAFT ITEMS TO BE REMOVED AND THE LOCATION OF THE FUEL TANKAND SPECIFIC QUANTITIES FOR SERVICING. THE TANK SHALL BE SECURED IN THE CABIN IN ACCORDANCE WITH ATTACHED DRAWINGS AND DATA FROM THE CESSNA 208 OPERATING MANUAL, WEIGHT AND BALANCE AND LOADING SECTION. THE FUEL TANKS ARE PLACARDED WITH QUANTITIES AND SYSTEM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS. THE FUEL PUMPS ARE POWERED THROUGH THE SECONDARY AVIONICS LOWER BUS BAR AND A 24/12 VOLT POWER CONVERTER ADN PROTECTED BYT TWO 20 AMP FUSES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE POWER CONVERTER. THE PUMPS ARE FREE-FLOW THROUGH PUMPS AND HAVE CHECK VALVE AUTHORITY IN ONE DIRECTION. THERE IS A FERRY TANK SELECTOR VALVE AND A FERRY SYSTEM SUPPLY VALVES USED TO CONTROL THE FERRY SYSTEM. THIS IS A TEMPORARY INSTALLATION THAT REQUIRES A SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT AND THE SYSTEM INSTALLATION MUST BE DOCUMENTED ON A FAA FORM 337. | INSTALLED TEMPORARY FERRY FUEL SYSTEM CONSISTING OF (?) ALUMINUM FERRYFUEL TANKS, FUEL VALVE MANIFOLD, PUMPS AND ASSOCIATED LINES IAW LEAHY AVIATION CESSNA 208 SERIES DATA. TANKS ARE INSTALLED IN THE CABIN AREA ON A 2 X 4" & 3/8" PLYWOOD BASE FOR EVEN LOAD DISTRIBUTION. TANKSARE GROUNDED TO AIRFRAME FOR STATIC DISCHARGE. TANKS ARE RECTANGULAR,INTERNALLY BAFFLED, CONSTRUCTED FROM 5052 ALUMINUM 0.100" THICK AND PRESSURE TESTED IAW FAR 23.965A(1). FORWARD THE TANKS ARE SECURED TO PASSENGER'S INBOARD, MIDDLE & OUTBOARD SEAT TRACKS VIA TIE DOWN RINGS & 10,000 LB. CARGO STRAPS. AFT THE TANKS ARE SECURED TO AIRCRAFT SEATTRACKS CROSSWAYS & AFT. TANKS ARE SECURED USING 10,000 LB. CARGO STRAPS MEETING OR EXCEEDING THE MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS OF FAA TSO C22. FLOOR LOADING LIMITS ARE NOT EXCEEDED. FERRY FUEL SYSTEM TEES INTO AIRCRAFT FUEL SYSTEM BETWEEN AIRCRAFT FUEL TANK BALANCE LINE. ALL FITTINGS ARE NO. 8 OR LARGER AND PARKER FUEL HOSE USED THROUGHOUT THE FERRY FUEL SYSTEM. FERRY FUEL MANIFOLD AND TSO'D WELDON FUEL PUMPS AREMOUNTED BEHIND PILOT'S AND CO-PILOT'S SEATS. FUEL PUMP POWER IS TAKENFROM AIRCRAFT BUSS 2 WITH INDIVIDUAL 5 AMP CIRCUIT PROTECTION. FERRY FUEL SYSTEM USES A RAM AIR VENT TO PROVIDE EXTERNAL VENTING AS WELL ASPROVIDE A POSITIVE PRESSURE TO AID THE FLOW OF FERRY FUEL. FERRY FUELSYSTEM GROUND CHECKED. FERRY FUEL SYSTEM TO BE FLIGHT TESTED AND RESULTS ENTERED IN AIRCRAFT RECORDS. FUEL TANK PLACARDS AND SYSTEM OPERATION PLACARDS ARE INSTALLED ON THE FERRY FUEL TANKS. THIS SYSTEMMUST BE OPERATED IAW THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS AND OPERATING LIMITS OF THE SPECIAL FLIGHT PERMIT. FERRY SYSTEM OPERATIONALLY CHECKED AND FOUND SAFE FOR INTENDED OPERATION.
