MODIFY BY SEALING THE SEAMS LAP JOINTS AND EXPOSED RIVETS IN OPEN BAYS OF THE WING BEHIND THE SPAR BY USE OF AREAS IN WING TO CREATE A TANK THAT WILL BE PLUMED USING 1/2 INCH ALUMINUM TUBING AND AN BULK HEAD FITTINGS TO SUPPLY FUEL BY GRAVITY TO THE EXISTING MAIN FUEL TANKS. THIS WILL PROVIDE FOR MORE FUEL CAPACITY AS IT IS AN INTERNAL TYPE OF FUEL TANK AS IS THE MAIN TANK OF THE ACFT. THE FOLLOWING ARE INSTRUCTIONS FOR CONTINUED AIRWORTHINESS FOR THIS ACFT. 1. INTRODUCTION: SEAL EXISTING BAYS FOR LONG RANGE FUEL TANKS AND CONNECT LONG RANGE TANKS BY ALUMINUM TUBING AND AN BULK HEAD FITTINGS. THESE FITTING WILL BE LOCATED BEHIND THE MAIN SPARS COMING FROM THE LOWEST PORTION OF THE LONG RANGE TANK THEN BY THE USE OF LUBING AND A BULK HEAD FITTING GO THREW THE SPAR AND INTO THE MAIN TANKS. 2. DESCRIPTION: WITH THE DRAWINGS OF THE STC'ED MONROY LONG RANGE FUEL TANKS, M20K, ENCLOSED TO THIS 337, MODIFY THE OPEN WING PANEL SECTIONS BY SEALING TO ALLOW FOR MORE FUEL TO BE CARRIED IN THE ACFT FOR OPERATION. EXTRA FUEL BAYS ARE LOCATED BEHIND THE MAIN WING SPAR WITHIN WING SKINS P/N 220002-033 LEFT HAND AND 22002-034 RIGHT HAND; WITHIN WING RIBS 21000-501 AND 210000-502; AND OUTBOARD WING RIBS 210019-502 RIGHT HAND. ALL MODIFICATIONS ARE ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH EXISTING INSPECTION PANELS. A FUEL DRAIN SUMP P/N F-391-53-SMP AND VALVE P/N 5-391-53S WILL BE ADDED TO EACH INBOARD TANK AND EXTRA FILLER NECK/CAP P/N'S 431-21A,610157, AND 610154. WILL BE ADDED TO THE OUTBOARD TANKS TOP SURFACE BY RIVETING TO FILL TANKS. FUEL FROM THE EXTRA TANKS WILL FLOW INTO THE MAIN TANKS BY GRAVITY THROUGH INTERCONNECTING 3/8 ALUMINUM LINES THREW A BULKHEAD FITTING IN SPAR INTO THE MAIN TANKS.
